CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S WEEK

What #PrettyPowerful means at Psycle

As we are celebrating International Women's Week we teamed up with Bobbi Brown to honour what being #PrettyPowerful means to our awesome women here at Psycle. The #PrettyPowerful Campaign was founded in 2013 by Bobbi Brown Cosmetics to help make education and learning accessible to women and girls on a global level.

Rhian:

To me #PrettyPowerful means...

One of the most significant things you can do to feel powerful is accept that we are all a work in progress. We can't always get it right, but if you prioritise your health, set goals and embrace the journey you will learn to be a little more kind to yourself and you'll be able to enjoy the process.

Another is to get in touch with what drives you. Tapping into your values and what intrinsically motivates you gives you a sense of strength a purpose that is far more impactful than the number on the scale.

Kaya:

To me #PrettyPowerful means...

Loving every imperfection, embracing every insecurity and riding through every struggle in life. Because that's what makes us who we are and in order for us to know where we going, we must embrace where we have been. Love yourself, always.

Natalie:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means...

Being authentic, honest, determined, dynamic, ambitious and focused!

Ashley:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means...

Doing what you want and saying how you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Marie:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means...

Being comfortable in your own skin!

Alana:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means...

Embracing the body I live in, knowing that perfection does not exist and will never be found in my reflection. Trusting my heart more than my mind and enjoying the process of being imperfectly perfect.

Gemma:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means ...

Having the courage to live your life as your authentic self. There is a power in authenticity that can't be denied. When we live authentically we are stronger and more powerful in our thoughts and actions and we have more compassion towards others. We inspire those around us to live authentically too.

Kirsten:

To me being #PrettyPowerful means...

Knowing that I am able to adapt, learn and move forward, taking every new challenge or change in your stride and using it as an opportunity to better myself. No matter what happens, I came out of it more powerful and capable than when I started.

Sophia:

To me #PrettyPowerful means...

Being genuinely inspiring, so as to empower the women around me. Let's strive for strength and purpose.

Marion:

To me #PrettyPowerful means...

Trying again!

Laura:

To me being PrettyPowerful means...

Broadening your capacity for fearlessness by finding the strength in the struggle. If you are open to feel anything and everything, if you are willing to feel ANY emotion then nothing can stop you, scare you or disempower you.
