My first tip would be to keep hydrated; we are what we eat & drink. Drink lots of water: 1 1/2 to 2L per day. Coconut water also hydrates your skin immediately, as does tea. One of my favourites is hibiscus tea, also known as the anti-ageing tea. This tea has so many benefits & is also nice as a cold drink. So, stay hydrated. Your skin and your body will thank you for it.

SPF is always a must. Protect your skin from the sun by trying to stay in the shade between 12 and 3PM, when the sun is at its hottest. If you are lying in the sun, you should apply your sunscreen every two hours to protect your skin.

It is alway a good idea to start using your SPF one week before you go on holiday to prepare your skin for sun exposure. Try starting with a high SPF, then after 3-4 days reduce it. This way you will get a better, longer lasting tan than you would by using a low SPF and tanning faster.

Exfoliation is good to do 1-2 times per week to remove all the dead skin cells & improve your microcirculation. Your skin will look more radiant and your products will work better.

Masking is recommended 2-3 times per week to cleanse or hydrate your skin depending on what your skin needs at the time. In the summer months, we sweat more and apply SPF a lot more, especially if on holiday, which can congest the skin. It is always a good idea to bring your mask and exfoliator on holiday with you.

Having pre & post-holiday facials is a great to prepare your skin for the sun. Oxygen facials are great pre-holiday and in the summer months as they hydrate the skin at the deeper cellular level. Diamond Aqua Microdermabrasion is a deep cleansing facial, which is always great for after your holiday.

I recommend having facials once a month to help maintain healthy youthful skin.

I also recommend double cleansing your skin in the evening to remove all traces of make up, dirt and pollution. Applying a night cream is a must as our skin is more active at nighttime. Try to spend 3-5 min massaging in your night cream this will boost your microcirculation & you will be guaranteed to wake up to fresh, radiant skin.

Self-tanning is a favourite in the summer months. Remember to exfoliate first and apply a moisturiser before applying the self-tanner as self-tanning can be extremely dehydrating to your skin. If you are applying self-tanner on a regular basis, it is especially important to exfoliate regularly as self tan can collect on dead skin, giving a patchy finish.
